Visual & Performing Arts Field Trips
Visual and Performing Arts Field Trips are professional performances and docent-guided exhibition tours presented for students during the school day at various Tampa Bay area venues and museums.
Each performance or exhibition has been approved for appropriate quality and content as well as educational value. Prior to each experience, teachers receive study guides, which contain descriptions of the performance, curriculum connections, pre and post-performance activities, discussion questions and information specific to the art form. If you would like additional information on building curriculum connections or developing lesson plans based on performances or a specific art form, please visit the Resources for Teachers section of this website.
Through the Performing Arts Field Trip program, a total of 91 field trips, comprising 156 different performances, were presented by 25 companies at venues throughout the Bay area, including the Tampa Theatre, the Straz Performing Arts Center, Ruth Eckerd Hall, and Center Place in Brandon for 36,822 students, teachers, and parents.
